Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (4)

    • As Andy sits, to eat his sandwich with Karen, he closes his laptop. But when the shot changes, it is visibly open again, at the right of the shot.

    • Lucas said that Taylor James was a senior when he and Nathan were freshmen, making them three years apart in school. Since Nathan and Lucas are in the 11th grade now, this must mean that Taylor is in her second year of college.

    • When Nathan and Lucas are at the river court, for a split second, Chad Michael Murray (Lucas) can be seen on the right side, waiting for his cue to join the scene.

    • At the end of the show, when Taylor is in the bathroom, she wipes the mirror with her hand to remove the fog. When the camera is over Nathan's shoulder and is showing Nathan's view of the bathroom, the mirror is completely fogged over again. There is no way that in the amount of time given, the fog could return and be as thick as it was.

  • QUOTES (6)

    • Haley: Oh, nice, you guys finally decided to come home.
Nathan: I left you a note. We went for a jog.
      Haley: To where? Atlanta?

    • Lucas: Feeling left out?
      Anna: A little.
Lucas: Wanna be left out together?

    • Peyton: I thought I was having a bad dream, only to wake up and find out it's real. But I know that you have to go.
Jake: Last night, you said you were feeling weak. Let me show you something I use when I'm feeling weak. (Jake hands Peyton a piece of paper, which he then quotes from)'If my hopes could bring you home, you and Jenny would be with me now.'
Peyton: Is this the first e-mail I sent you?
Jake: It's like, I'd be working one of those jobs, or feeling like I was gonna be on the run forever, and I'd read those words...and it's like this sudden calm would wash over me. You are so strong Peyton. You don't even know it. I mean, you got me through some pretty dark days. And, I've been thinking that if I can get all that from some words on a piece of paper, just imagine what it would be like to have the real thing every day. I'm just, tired of running Peyton. Come with me. Let's bring Jenny back home.
      Peyton: Yeah?
      Jake: Yeah.

    • Lucas: So, what did he ask you to do?
Jules: Make Keith fall in love with me. Then break his heart. I tried to tell Dan that I wasn't going to go through with it, but it's too late. I never thought I was going to fall in love with Keith. But I did, Lucas. You have to believe me. I love him.

    • Haley: It doesn't mean anything.
Peyton: A kiss always means something.

    • Lucas: (voiceover)Tennessee Williams once wrote…When so many are lonely…as seem to be lonely, it would be inexcusably selfish…to be lonely alone.
