In the scene where Anna comes to say goodbye to Lucas, you see the back of him and his bare arms are in plain view. When they switch the camera angle, you can see that he is wearing long, white sleeves.
Nathan: What happened to Florida? Taylor: Oh, Florida's still there. I'm just not in it.
Peyton: (In the jail, talking to Jake). Why didn't you tell me? Jake: I knew you'd talk me out of it. Peyton: So, where's Jenny? Jake: She's safe. Peyton: I love you. Jake: I love you too.
(Nathan puts the brakes on a make-out session with Haley's sister Taylor) Nathan: I can't do this. Taylor: Because of Haley? Nathan: No. Because of me.
Darby: So, how'd it feel when you came out to Lucas? Anna: Terrible. Scary. It still feels scary. What about you, when you told your parents? Darby: Well, believe it or not, I practiced in the mirror first. And then, when I thought I had it all memorized, I went downstairs and took a deep breath and told them I loved them very much, but I had something I needed to tell them about myself. Anna: How did they take it? Darby: Honestly, not as well as I'd hoped. I think they're still trying to process how it affects their lives. Anna: What do you mean? Darby: Well, umm, I read this book about coming out. It said that for some parents, finding out your child is gay is like losing a loved one. All the dreams they might've had just vanish. Weddings, grandchildren... So I think when I told them, I shattered some of those dreams for them. Anna: Yeah. Darby: Even though things are still kind of weird, I don't think I've ever been closer to them, 'cause at the end of the day I know they still love me. And that's what worried me the most. That they wouldn't. Anna: You're braver than me, Darby. Darby: No, I'm not. Look, I didn't come here to get you to come out to your parents. I came here to help you understand that when you finally do, you're gonna be okay.
(Brooke walks in the door late, slightly drunk. Karen is waiting for her.) Brooke: Karen, hi. Karen: Did you have fun tonight? Brooke: Not really. Party was kinda weak. But I had to be there. Apparently I've been drifting. Karen: Have you been drinking? Brooke: No, drifting. Karen: No Brooke, I'm asking if you've been drinking tonight. Brooke: (Slurring) Just a little. Karen: I expected you at the cafe. Brooke: I know, I lost track of time. I'm sorry. Karen: Well, sorry isn't good enough. I advanced your salary and I'd like you to return the money I gave you. Brooke: I... kind of spent it. Karen: Go to bed. You're grounded. Brooke: Grounded? I've never been grounded in my whole life. Karen: Well, there's a first time for everything. Brooke: Well, you're not my mom. Karen: No. But right now you're my responsibility. (Walks away) Brooke: But I was drifting...
Peyton: (Opens the front door to find Nicki on the door step) Now why is it the garbage men always forget to pick up the white trash? Nicki: I need to talk to Jake. Peyton: Right... Nicki: No police, no lawyers. Just me and Jake. The River Court, 6 o'clock. By the way the police are watching you right now. And you should know, as long as you help Jake hide Jenny, you're an accessory. That means, when you're caught with my daugher, you're gonna get arrested. But don't worry, you can always go to college after prison.
Anna: (Opens the front door to find Darby on the door step) Darby. Darby: Hi Anna. Anna: What are you doing here? Darby: I got your e-mail. Can I come in? Anna: (Looks around, not saying anything) Darby: Or we could just stand around out here until someone sees us, starts some rumors and then you could move again. Anna: Darby. Darby: I'm sorry, that wasn't funny. Maybe this was a bad idea. Anna: No. It's good to see you. Come on in.
(Karen hands Brooke the list of chores) Brooke: So, what, I pick the one I want? Karen: Yeah, and once you've done that you keep picking until you're done.
Taylor: I guess my phone call worked. Are you staying the night? Nathan: I don't know. I haven't thought that far ahead.
Lucas: Hey Anna, what's up? Anna: I told my parents. Lucas: You told them? That's huge! Well, how did they take it? Anna: Umm, I'm not sure really. They cried a lot. But I think it was just because they were trying to understand. Then, when I was finished, they told me they loved me. Which is all I really wanted to hear. Lucas: I am so proud of you Anna. Anna: There's more. I told my parents that they always taught me to be proud of myself. And the only way that I can do that, is if I go back to my boarding school and finally be who I am. Lucas: Does that mean you're leaving? Anna: Yes. I wanted to stop in and see Peyton, but she's got enough to deal with right now. Tell her I'll call her soon. Lucas: I will. I am gonna miss you so much. You've been a great friend. Anna: You too. I'm a better person for knowing you Luke.
Jake: I already know my options Coach. Whitey: From what I've heard you've only got one option. Jake: I can't give her away. Whitey: Son, you've got a good chance of getting her back. Jake: I can't take chances like that. Whitey: It beats the alternative then. Jake: Does it?
Nicki: Jake, how did you find me here? Jake: Well, I guess I'm better at this than you are. You wanted to talk, let's talk. Nicki: I told you to meet me at 6 o'clock, it's only 5. Jake: Like I'm gonna fall for that. Nicki: Jake, look, you've gotta stop this. The hiding, all of it. I have a right to my daughter. Jake: You're not getting her. Nicki: Ok, well, I guess it's time that I tell you something that at the moment is kinda relevant. Jake: Okay, this should be good. Nicki: She's not your daughter. Think about it. We always used protection. Jake: Nice try. Guess it was just a matter of time before you thought of that one, huh? Nicki: It's the truth. Jake: No this is the only truth. No matter what, Jenny is and she will always be, my daughter. We're done here.
Lucas walks into Karen's kitchen, where Brooke is cleaning the floor (with a sponge). Lucas: (Laughing) Hey Cinderella. You hanging in there? Brooke: I take it you've heard. Lucas: Well, my mom can crack the whip. Brooke: I can't believe she actually grounded me. I thought she liked me. Lucas: Brooke, she does like you. Hey, she cares enough about you to ground you. So what number are you up to, huh? Three? Brooke: Four! Mop the kitchen floor. Lucas: And you're using a sponge? Brooke: Is that wrong? Lucas: (Laughs) OK,… Brooke, this is a mop. Look, I'll tell you what, alright. You take the evens, I'll take the odds. I'll bet we can bust this out in, like, half-hour. Brooke: Thanks Luke. Lucas: Anything for you.
Peyton: … I love you. Jake: I love you, too.
Karen: Brooke, you're home. Brooke: Yeah, I'm grounded, remember? Karen: Not anymore. I think you've learned your lesson.
Cop: Can I help you? Jake: Yeah, I'm Jake Jaglieski. There's a warrant out for my arrest.
Jake: Coach, you remember last year? Beginning of the season? We had that away game at Bear Creek? Whitey: Yeah, I remember. Jake: It was right after Jenny was born… and my parents were out of town all week, I couldn't watch her, so… I decided to let Nicki have her, for the night. So I get home from the game and I call Nicki; there's no answer. I go to her house and she's not home. So I,… I looked everywhere, I called her friends. Then finally, after about an hour, I find her car and it's parked across the street from some bar. Nicki was passed out in the front seat, the keys were still in the ignition and there was frost all over the windows; I couldn't even see her… and then I look in the back seat,… and there she is, my little girl. She's shivering. She didn't even have a blanket on her, coach. Whitey: Jake, I- Jake: One night. All she had to do was look after Jenny for one night. She couldn't do it. And now they want me to give her my daughter for three months… worth of nights?
Jake: Okay, look. Just tell me what is going on, because there is no way that a judge would give Nicki custody of Jenny. Lawyer: The judge has already ruled. Jake, a warrant's been issued for your arrest. Right now, the police are our there and they're looking for you and your daughter. Trust me. Trust me when I tell you this is your only option. Jake: Can you just… tell me the truth here? If I give up my daughter today, how long until I get her back? How long until Jenny's safe? Lawyer: Two months. Maybe three. Jake: And if I don't give her up? Lawyer: You go to jail, and you stay there until you do.
Original International Air Dates: Turkey: Thursday, October 19, 2006 on CNBC-e
Before this episode aired, fans were allowed to vote on an upcoming storyline online. The majority vote would decide whether Nathan should sleep with Taylor or not. Fortunately for Naley fans, the majority of people voted no. It was the first and only time One Tree Hill has allowed fans to have a say on storyline.
Although credited, Bethany Joy Lenz (Haley James-Scott), Craig Sheffer (Keith Scott) and Barbara Alyn Woods (Deb Scott) do not appear in this episode.
Lenz's voice is heard, however, in the final minutes of the episode when Nathan finally plays Haley's message on his answering machine. This marks the first episode in the series in which Keith doesn't appear at all (in the "final cut" or the deleted scenes).

Lucas and Dan discuss Sherlock Holmes and Professor Moriarty. Sherlock is the fictional creation of the author Arthur Conan Doyle in the late 19th/early 20th century, and is possibly the world's most famous fictional detective. Lucas also mentions The Hound of the Baskervilles, which was written in 1901, but set before Holmes 'death' and also includes the Professor.
