Ah, the beginning of many, many seasons of Leyton/Brucas drama. But YAY for Naley! They're such a hot couple! I loved when Lucas talked to Jake!
"Late night? Who's the girl?" "You don't know her." I loved that. The writing on this show is so witty and good! Great episode!moreless

  • This episode was very average but it was still an awesome episode. This had many good moments like when Deb and Haley partnered up to make Karen's Cafe the bomb. Dan is still the bad guy and in this episode he shows us how much more we can hate him.moreless

You Gotta Go There To Come Back is the tenth episode of the first season and the tenth episode of the whole series. It aired on the WB on January 20, 2004. This episode is about the decision Lucas makes by choosing Brooke over Peyton. Dan treats Nathan like if he's a disappointment He was a complete jerk when Nathan tried to kill himself. He is really a bad father and a bad man. I like when Peyton, Haley, and Deb teamed up to make an open mike night since Karen was in Italy. Then Jake opened his secret to the audience and told everybody that he had a baby named Jennie. This episode was really cool but it was average and not an episode that stood out.moreless

this has to be one of Bryan Greenberg's best performance's ever I thought Jenny is addoriable i wish they would come back for season 5 and start thing off with Payton again. i thought him and Payton did well together Bryan and Hilary have very good chemistry but i'll always be a fan of Chad and Hilary don't get me wrong. I loved the song that he sang to his daughter and i loved how the camera panned into the end while the boys were playing at the rivercourt playing basketball. i wish they would've shown Gavin Degraw though i was very happy that he made a guest apparence well that it for me..moreless

    ADD TRIVIA
    • Haley references the previous episode's dropped plot about Peyton and the orphan. She tells Peyton she needs her help but says, "don't worry it doesn't involve orphans..." Edit
    • That's actually Bryan Greenberg's (Jake) voice singing the song "Lonely World" at Karen's Cafe. Edit
    • During the scene where Whitey tells the team that practice is canceled indefinitely, Brooke mysteriously appears and disappears. In every shot where Whitey is talking you can clearly see Brooke standing in the front, but each time the camera cuts back to the team she is no longer there. Edit
  • Notes

    ADD NOTES
    • This is the second time the theme song "I Don't Wanna Be" is played during a scene. However, it's the first time we actually see song writer Gavin DeGraw playing it. Edit

    • On the season 1 DVD, there is a bonus video of Gavin Degraw singing Chariot in Karen's Cafe. Edit

    • Lucas: Haley, I'm not the bad guy here, ok? Peyton's just too... hard. Haley: Unlike Brooke, who I understand is nice and easy. Lucas: Excuse me! She makes me laugh. She's honest. She's not afraid to be herself, ok? Plus, she's not covered head to toe in issues. Edit
