When Denzil agrees to drive the bus to Margate, he said that Harry has to drive it home. However, Denzil was sitting in the driver's seat when they were about to go home.
When Del, Denzil etc are having an argument about Denzil driving the bus, Del says "We'll be here all day and all night," but his lips don't move with the words, and is dubbed on pretty badly.
Del: Brandy please, Pamela.
Del: Yeah, that'll do if you're out of brandy.
Rodney: I could do with another blanket here, I'm freezing.
Del: Yeah it is a bit cold.
Uncle Albert: Cold? You bits of kids don't know the meaning of the word. You should have been with me on the Russian convoys. One night it was so cold the flame on my lighter froze.
Trigger: I'm staying in a motel. They don't know I ain't got a car though. (winks at others as if he's being sneaky)
Mike: (can't be bothered telling him) I'd best keep that one, if I were you Trig.
Rodney: Cassandra, our coach has just blown up.
The events of this special would be mentioned in "Sleepless in Peckham", implying that the Jolly Boys' Outing was a regular event from the 1960's before Del blew the coach up. The very first Jolly Boys' Outing was seen in the first episode of the prequel trilogy Rock & Chips.
John Sullivan's sister-in-law Penny was the inspiration behind the script, as she told him of an event her father used to go on each year, called the "Jolly Boys' Outing".
