  • Arkwright tries to use a housekeeper ad to get Nurse Gladys into matrimony. Too bad Mrs. Featherstone answers the call!

    9.0
In a typically tightly-structured, verbally quicksilver episode, we find another Arkwright scheme to snare his Registered Nurse Gladys Emmanuel into marriage and away from her mother.

Of course, it doesn't work, but there's laughs to be had about trousers, feeding that till, and errand boy treatment.

It doesn't sound like much boiled down, but I don't laugh or giggle as much during any other show, with the exception of BlackAdder or As Time Goes By.

This is a great example, with a great ending gag before Arkwright's talk with God. I recommend it to anyone!moreless
