Operation Petticoat, based on the 1959 movie by the same title, starred a post-Gomez John Astin heading up a large ensemble cast including Jamie Lee Curtis in one of her first roles.
Called into duty because every ship was needed during WWII, the USS Sea Tiger, a pink submarine, patroled the South Pacific with the mission to rescue downed airmen and sink ships when possible.
The pink color resulted from the sub having to set to sea after the depot with it's exterior paint was bombed by the enemy.
But the color would soon become a positive thing after the crew rescued a company of nurses who had been stranded on an island.
After the show's first season, nearly all the cast was replaced and was cancelled after just 10 episodes into it's second season.
