  • TRIVIA (1)

    • Title: The episode title "Knowledge Of Causes, And Secret Motion Of Things" is from the incomplete novel New Atlantis: A Worke Unfinished (paragraph 52) by Sir Francis Bacon published in 1627. The book was about a utopian society and Bacon's revolutionary view of the role of science in society. The book was the first thorough treatment of the potential benefits of modern science. The specialist research institution described in the book was the inspiration of the Royal Society in 1662. The complete sentence is "The end of our foundation is the knowledge of causes, and secret motions of things; and the enlarging of the bounds of human empire, to the effecting of all things possible."

  • QUOTES (1)

    • Felix: (on the phone) Hey, Sarah, we need your help with a little something at rehab.
Sarah: What's Alison done? She hurled herself off the wagon?
      Felix: No, she...
Alison: (takes the phone from Felix) I...I am sober as a judge, Sarah. It's you, your people, your finks and rats and snitches and fuzz. Vic's here and he's gonna give me up to the police unless you meet with him. I need you to come here right now and clean up your doo-doo.
