Still at the train station she witnesses the suicide of a woman who looks just like her. She grasps the opportunity to take the woman's purse and runs. She assumes the identity of the dead woman called Beth in an attempt to plunder her bank account. As she waits for the money to become available, Sarah arranges for her foster brother Felix to "identify" her dead body in hope of getting rid of her own ex Victor who has come to reappropriate the coke she stole from him. However she discovers that Beth was a suspended police detective who recently shot an unarmed civilian when her partner picks her up outside Beth's home and delivers her to a review board meeting. She manages to dodge that bullet by making herself sick but cannot prevent Felix to go ahead with their plan.
Back at home Beth's boyfriend shows up. When his questions become too awkward she seduces him which successfully diverts him for now. The next day she picks up Beth's money at the bank and discovers a couple of birth certificates in her safe deposit box. As her partner starts following her around in order to find out why she is acting strange, she get to watch her own funeral wake from across a river bank.
Going back to her car, Sarah is confronted by yet another identical looking woman who is coughing blood and asking to be introduced to Beth's science friend. Just as this third woman realizes, Sarah is not Beth, she is shot. Sarah manages to escape with the dead woman on the back seat of the car. She finds the woman had the same pink covered phone as Beth when they both start ringing. The episode ends with her answering it.
