  • Haruhi in wonderland...

    9.4
This episode was really unique in the sense that it didn't really push the story forward at all, but gave us an episode packed with meaning and symbolism. It was pretty obvious the whole thing was a dream though, at least if you've seen Alice In Wonderland before. I haven't seen the whole thing, but I've seen other people reference it (like Kingdom Hearts, and Cardcaptor Sakura). Basically, what Haruhi was viewing in her dreams was her life in general, and about how she was taking life too seriously and how she should spend more time enjoying her student life. Also, her mom makes an appearance telling her to lighten up a bit. Each of the members of the Host Club were portrayed perfectlly in Haruhi's dream, and Renge's appearance was just as funny. Great episode.moreless
  • Personal favorite

    9.9
This is my favorite episode of Oran High School Host Club. Not only is it a good parody with the characters in charming costumes of the classic Lewis Carol characters, but it also shows alot of symbolism, especially with Haruhi. Her dream shows a basic view of how sh sees her host club friends, but it also shows that in her life she has been working too hard and taking life too seriously and must learn to enjoy her youth. In it she sees her dead mother who as the queen tells her to enjoy life and when she awakes she finds her friends ready to for the Host with and Alice in Wonderland theme realizing her life isn't much different than her dreams...moreless

  • In Haruhi's dream, the Host Club members are portrayed as characters from the movie "Alice In Wonderland".

    7.9
To be honest, I really did not understand this episode. Maybe it was because I have only seen part of the movie "Alice In Wonderland", but this was still a pretty good episode. In this episode, viewers may notice familiar things in this episode that have been shown in episodes one through twelve. There are minor characters that make their second appearance in this episode and there are events alluding to previous episodes like the running gag where a banana pops out of nowhere and characters trip over the banana or Haruhi's knowledge of many events. Anyone who has seen the movie "Alice In Wonderland" will understand the plotline better than those who have seen part or none of the movie.moreless

    • Tamaki: Riddle, riddle!
      Haruhi: Riddle, riddle?
Tamaki: Why do ootoro and akami look similar?
      Haruhi: They're the same.
Tamaki: No! That's definetely not true! (Under his breath) I guess commoners are still commoners inside dreams.

    • Tamaki: Your hair is quite long. I like that hair. Unfortunately... it should actually be cut much shorter.
Haruhi: Can we not talk about my hair?
Honey: And you're wearing a skirt today!
Haruhi: I am a girl, you know?

    • (Haruhi slips on a banana)

Hikaru: Ah, hahaha, she tripped, she tripped!

Nekozawa: Ahh, I'm becoming small... (Turns into a baby)
Kirimi: Ahh, I'm becoming big. (Turns into a teenager)
Haruhi: No, that's not what it's supposed to mean.

    • Kyouya: (As a caterpillar) You've cried a lot.

      Haruhi: Huh?

Kyouya: The water in this pool is all the tears you have shed in your heart up until now. Sadness... loneliness... You've endured much of those all this time, right?
