This was probably the best episode thus far for Out of Practice. The cast continues to gel better episode after episode, and in particular Stockard Channing's performance stood out. She would later go on to earn an Emmy nomination for her role on this show.

CBS is the only network have live action comedies, and I really miss the days when all or most shows on television followed this trend. The male escort storyline would not have worked on a single-camera show (see the episode of Arrested Development with the hooker.)

Good episode tonight. This show is starting to get better.moreless
  • Lydia throws a 'I'm over Stewart Party', where her date winds up to be a male escort, courtesy of Oliver.

The episode begins with an awkward situation for Lydia at the hospital, where all her friends and fellow collegues are pitying her, on the loss of Stewart to his bimbo Secretary, Crystal.

She decides to throw a party to show everyone that she is fine and over Stewart.

At the hospital cafeteria, she invites a fellow Doctor to the party as her special guest, because her sons told her that he was flirting, but to is shocked to find out that he brought his secretary, who is also his finacee. FUNNY!

She now has to find a quick date, which Oliver helps her with by calling a patient of his, who just happens to be a male escort.

Now, the man was handsome, charming and every thing a woman looks for in a man on the outside, and yes, he might be prone to sleeping around because of his job......but I really didn't see what all the fuss was about when everyone found out his profession.

    Overall, another great episode.moreless
