A funny episode of Out of Practice here tonight, a show that continues to improve episode to episode and progress toward a really great sitcom. I think if this was still on the air today and was in its 5th season it would be regarded as one of the best today. Sometimes this show features too many side storylines, so it was good to see the males and the females in two separate plots, and nothing else. The chemistry worked best here with the guys having their thing and the women struggling at cooking class and hopefully more episodes are divided like this.moreless

And Paula Marshall... where is she?

Oh, i forget to mention, that Paula was just amazing playing in the kitchen. Making fun of the situation. Too bad she's another character among too many in this show! She should show up more! Maybe, have a girlfriend? Or at least, talk about a girl she met in the hospital. Cause all the time we hear about the guys's girls, but never about Regina's girls... So, the written should consider a new partner or just friend for Paula Marshall 's role, Regina! And... note, that last scene with the brothers in the class, the whole "I need a man", really funny!moreless

In this whole season, this was the only episode i get to laugh out loud! I used to admire Stockard Channing's work. But now... i just love! She's simply funny and knw how to lead on a show! Plus, she as a new crush of Chef Vivian is something you have to see!

The Barnes women enroll in a cooking class together and Stewart has or has not giving Crystal a key yo his place.

Ben and Oliver stood Regina up for a family cooking class event, and sends their mom instead, much to Regina's disgust.

The women are giving a recipe to prepare, which becomes very funny, as neither one can cook. The class chef takes a liking to Lydia whom she believes is gay, while Reg seats back and enjoys the show.

In the end Lydia is troubled to think that someone thought she was gay which Regina takes offense too, and the women have a great heart to heart talk about Regina's sexuality.

Across town Stewart is having problems with Crystal when she thinks that he gave a key to his place which he certainly did not. Stewart sought advice from Ben and Oliver which only placed him in a deeper hole of commitment with Crystal.

Overall, a great episode.

This show has so much potential. It has four great comedy actors and lots of room to grow. The episodes just don't seem to be hitting the mark. A family of healers and all that is shown is three locations. What about the hospital, their offices, and the daughters apartment?
