  • If only the rest of the series could have been like this.

This series was a little bit of a slow burner for me. Some very poor story lines (Episode 7's iffy murder plot bounces up and down in my head, apart from the Presidents speech before the opening credits which was ace). Some downright poor plot points, and a distinctly non futuristic looking future tech. For example, a DJ that doesn't have the human races musical collection on a computer, but instead carries vinyl records between the stars. Tonight, a tape deck was spotted. What a low tech job a DJ of the future really looks like. The intercoms that look like 80's hand held console games, and of course they killed the most interesting character in the first episode... Oh dear. Not a good start.

But boy, tonight it fired on all cylinders without exception. Drama, interest, conflict, a few surprises, and some action sequences, plus a little more of the enigmatic AC's is revealed. Is it too little too late though? Some of the characters I didn't like before actually began to add something to the whole episode.Indeed the series as a whole. Will it return? For once I hope it does. More of the dramatic stories as seen in episode 8. Less of the 'weakest link' filler shows seen in most of the rest.moreless
