Outside/Inside

Show Summary

Outside/Inside is a half hour television series that appeared on CBC in Canada between 1972 and 1973 and focuses on interior and exterior design. Renowned interior designer Ray Staples along with host Alex Trebek present designs of various structures in Toronto from several perspectives, the main one being their impact on their residents' lives. Garth Haines occasionally joins the duo, offering his views as an environmental designer and sculptor. The first episode deals with what people outside of Toronto think of the design of its houses, while the focus of subsequent episodes is on landmark monuments like the Mayor's office in the City Hall and the O'Keefe Centre.
