  • Please help turn my 2001 Toyota 4 Runner 4 WD into my dream Photography vehicle

I know that your show is mostly about others wanting to help someone but sometimes one has to ask themselves. I learned that the hard way. In 2001 I had an accident. A refridgerator fell on my right foot and separated it from the ankle. It was horrible. The doctor said that it would be just fine after the surgery but it never healed right and in 2009 I had to retire early because I could no longer work in my line of work. At the time (a long story) but even a desk job would have been difficult for me. Because I retired early on Social Security Disability I receive a lot less than I would have. Now I live on a limited income. I even had to move 500 miles away from my son because this is the only place I can afford. For now I accept it because I have not found another choice although I would love to live nearer to my son or my daughter. Now I have two granddaughters 4 and 5 which I so want to be a part of their lives.

I have a 2001 Toyota 4 Runner 4 WD and I am happy with it. I love it and I do not need a new car or SUV. I would just like to turn my Toyota into my dream vehicle. Because I love photography it would be my dream to turn my Toyota into a photographers dream. Storage in the back, organizing for my equipment, extra electrical power, a television monitor for viewing movies and my photos. I like to take my studio lighting, my backdrops, reflectors and so much more with me, Then after a shoot my foot and ankle are so sore that I can barely walk. My back hurts and my muscles ache because they all work extra hard due to my foot issues. It would be nice to have power seats, heating/cooling seats with massage.

Now I live what I think is a very simple life. I take my two puppies to the local dog park every morning 7 days a week. Then off to the Senior Center where I play Pool till 5pm, which I do Monday through Friday. When I get a chance I love to go out to take pictures. I love taking pictures of people and I love taking pictures of nature and wildlife. I would love to do more like travel around the country but it seems that every month a week before my next check I am broke.

My Toyota will soon need new brakes, shocks, a tune up and tires. Nothing major as I have taken very good care of it. There are other things that I would love to do to my Toyota but that is only a dream.

Whatever your decision is I want to thank you for all those here for helping those that you choose from the many for you are a blessing to them and give others a chance to dream.moreless

My husband is almost going blind from macular degneration since 14 yers old. This truck has been his dream to restore. We have not had the money to do it, and instead of getting restored the driver window no longer goes down (I'm the driver and scared to drive it) the hood release is broke, the air conditioning doesn't work, the cd player doesn't work. It seems to be falling apart faster than we can fix it. We haven't wrecked it. It just has more problems every doay. He is 52 but there will be no way he can finish this before he goes completely blind it is already to hard to tix things because of his eyesight. I hate driving it my window and no cooling system is unbearable. But he insists because it's his baby and he never got the chance to drive.moreless

    Hi
My name is Steve and I have Multiple Sclerosis which has made me stop working. We have one vehicle and it is trashed. It currently sits at my father in laws house with doors taken apart since they are all broken. My wife can not afford to get a new vehicle and I feel horrible since I am suppose to take care of her. Her and my 14 yr old son still take me out hunting and fishing but now we are limited. It is a 1992 Ford Explorer. Any chance I could get your help here in North Dakota?
    Thank you for your time.

    Hello
My husband has owned a 1967 stingray corvette, 357 convertible for over 30 some years. Many years ago was stolen by a neighborhood kid, but recovered many months later with some damage. He has done a little work on it, but it could use some real overhauling. We are south of Buffalo NY in West Falls, more than likely too far for your program. But if it is something you are interested in, please let us know! Love your show!! Amazing transformations you all perform!!moreless
