    Hello,

I was reading over the entries that we have all been posting, and was hard pressed to find any that did not warrant a turn on "Overhaulin'" All our stories are personal, and very near and dear to our hearts... and I even voted for a young lady that was trying to get her grandfathers truck rebuilt for "One More Ride," before he goes. The show gives us hope. Hope that even if our number is not called, that our dreams are within our reach.
My Dreams came true, when I met and married an incredible woman in 2005 that loved and cared for me through the good times and the bad. Emmy took one look in my eyes, before telling me that I was hiding something with my smiles... She then started to mend my soul. Right after we tied the knot, I bought her a car that was dependable and fun. It was the first vehicle that I ever bought for anyone, and the first one that was hers and hers alone. It was a 1989 Toyota Celica Convertible GT, that needed a little work. As is often the case, I did not get around to doing the repairs on her car, and mechanical issues began to stack up until the car was parked as "Unserviceable." My plans to fix up the car were further derailed, when complications from my service connected TBI (Traumatic Brain Injuries) from proximity to explosions, and West Nile Virus from the two military service tours to the Middle East (Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, and Israel) began to show up. Those conditions combined with the toxins we were exposed to resulted in frequent high fevers that eventually culminated with an Immune System crash in the form of a Mengeo Encephalitis. Now, my wife has become my full time care giver, and I can barely wash a car, before I am worn out. If it is at all possible, it would be incredible if her Celica could be featured on your show, "Overhaulin'." If it is not, then I understand, and would only like to receive a reply that tells me you have seen this electronic message 'in a bottle...' Good day to you all and God Bless all my fellow fans, as we attempt to adequately express ourselves on this forum...

    Thank You,
    Stevemoreless

  • My Brothers 72 Bronco

I wish I could get my brothers 72 bronco on the show. It was my dads first. Dad got it in 74 then gave it to my brother in the early 90's. My brother was going to fix it up, but everytime he worked on it our dad would get sick. So it has been in his garage for years. Dad passed away in Jan. of 2011. So he felt he could slowly start to work on it again, but wasn't able to do much due to money problems. In Oct. of 2011 his wife died. Now it is just him and his two girls. I know it would mean alot to him to get it fixed up and restored.
Thanks for letting me post this. It helps the healing from losing two people so close to me in the past year.moreless

    dear chip,

i am eleven years old and my dads works so hard to make sure i have a roof over my head and food on the table so i can eat. My dad has a 1971 ford torino 500 and he always tells me how he wish his torino could be a really nice car because unfortunately his car is messed up, from the engine to the body to the interior . I always tell him that when i grow up and become a lawyer that i will make his car one of the best musle cars and put a 502 horsepower or higher engine is his car. he says he will be very grateful if i do that but that won't be until 15 years including law school. My dad is a auto mechanic just like you , he alway tells me he would do it himself if he had the money and a good back. At the time he has to use my grandmas car because his car works but sometimes it will break down on him.I enjoy spending time with my dad and im starting to notice how much he wants his car to get fixed . i think he deserves it because he has worked hard for me and has raised me as an honor roll student and has thaught me that education is the key to life and he would love it if i could do excellent in life .My dad is currently unemployed but he has went to school for installing solar panels and is currently searching for a job on installing solar panels. I think that when you think about all he has been through in his life that he deserves it. so i want to change his life i garuntee you that if you hook up his car he would not want to sell it at all and he would keep it in the family forever and it would become a part of our family history so can you please just hook up his car You could either reply to me on here or on facebook and we live in los angeles california. ps. i didn't know if you wanted my dads car rating or your show rating so i just put your show rating which is a ten but if you wanted my dads's car rating that is a threemoreless

My name is Forrest Whittington. I have met the most wonderful woman to has changed my life to the farthest extent. Took on me and being a single parent father, my three young boys in and showed us how good life could be. I love her so.
Her mother Ashly, has been fighting Cancer for three years going to chemo and radiation treatments with her family once a month three states away. Hope was here for us. Or so we thought.
Monday morning around 6:00am, I got a call from Randy (my gfs father) telling me that Ashley went to be with god. She had caught a cold and just wasn't strong enough fight it.
We were devistated at the news.
Randy had an idea to buy his old police car from the sheriffs department he used to work for and do it as a cancer awareness symbol wile raising money non profit to further the research for a cure. We have already set up to do it do the relay for life on April 13 (which ironically is randy's birthday) and have the car there.
We would like to do it pink with the traditional cancer ribbon. And lights, etc.
I would like to help them accomplish this selfless task that helps many many people across the united states. And I would like for overhauln to give us any help they can. We could do great things with the passion we share. We can change lives. We can save lives. Join me in this quest for a cure. Thank you Ashley Lancaster Witherington. Your memory will live on for many many years.and with the help of this show. We could touch millions.moreless

Hello overhaul' family!! First wanna say very amazed with the work you guys do! My grandpa bought his truck brand new and loved driving long hauls between his two homes, from california to new mexico. His truck was really his pride enjoy! Unfortunately he has been diagnosed with alzheimer's dieases. . . his mother had it to. . when i was little and we would go visit his mother in the hospital everytime we left my grandpa made my grandma promise him that she would never put him the hospital if he ever caught the dieases. My grandpa would just sit in his truck all day everyday, even would sleep in his truck. He is attached physically and emotionaly. like i said its his everything. unfortunately my elderly grandma tried her poor heart out for years to keep him in the house hold to take care of him. . . she just couldnt keep up wit the dieases. . sad to say doctors told her it would be the best thing to put him in a home. . it broke her heart but she just couldnt keep up with his health. my grandfather now is a hospital home called fort bayard, in new mexico. The reason im writing to the team, is beacuse it brakes my heart to see him this way and not to know who I or his family is anymore. . But the only thing he seems to rembember everytime i talk to him, is his truck!! You ask, Grandpa how you been? or wat you been up to? His resposes, just workin on my truck an gettin it ready to take it for a cruise. his truck is all he remembers. like i said its his everything. When he was still at home wit grandma he would take something apart on it but wouldnt remember how to put it back together. the truck has been sitting for three years with parts missing. To conculed my story I would love for you guys, the team at overhaul to take this truck into your guys wing and overhaul it!!!! the time is clicking i hate to say but it would be my dream to get this truck cherried out to take him for a ride before its to late!. . . i ask you guys please and help are family ties last and finish strong! thanks for reading best wishes and god bless!!moreless
