  • Season 1 Episode 8: A Game of Checkers

  • O'Reily tells Adebisi he's been off drugs since his time in the hole. The episode where he went to the hole was 1.5 (Straight Life). However, in that episode, AFTER he gets out of the hole, he is seen getting high with Beecher. Looks like the writers forgot about that little incident in this episode.

  • Towards the end of the episode when Alvarez is tripping, he "talks" to his baby. He says "te voy a protectar" which is meant to mean "I'm going to protect you" but protectar is not a word - he means proteger.

  • Nino's henchman D'Angelo is badly injured by Adebisi and Kenny Wangler, is seen in the infirmary, then vanishes for good. I guess Gloria's using him for secret medical experiments somewhere.

  • When Alvarez stabs the knife into his hand, you can clearly tell it's a prop knife because the blood squirts from the handle and there is no blood on the blade.

  • In the press conference scene, the shadow of the boom mike operator (and also the boom mike) appear clearly on the wall as the cameras are flashing, several seconds later the mike is visible at the top of screen.

  • In the scene where Keane is trying to convince Ryan to repent for Ortolani's murder, a boom microphone is clealy visible in the top right of screen.
