An Out of Body Experience (2)
AIRED:
Ozzy is still in Christine, using REM sleep (or Random Eye Movement). He calls Drix for help, and that's when he learns he's gender morphing. When a cell from a certain gender goes to a body of another gender, that cell becomes that gender. With Drix's plan, and the help of another Drixinol cold pill in Christine called "Drixina," Ozzy might come back to Hector, and keep Christine from having pneumonia.moreless

After seeing this episode, 2 things are clear. 1. 20 minutes is not enough for this show. 2. These 2 episodes should've been turned into a movie. Anyway, here's the real review.

This episode continues where the previous one left off. Of course, instead of taking an easy way out, the writers decided to make things harder, so the result is a better plot. Infact, I'm happy with the direction they took this episode. Also, the club scene was great with the references to "Street Up" & the original movie. However, I have only one beef with this episode: The main heroes of this episode, Ozyy & Tyson have to objective: Defeat Pneumonia-dude and bringing back Ozzy to Hector. If you ask me, seeing the battle of Cells Vs. Pneumonia is much more interesting than seeing Ozzy gets back to Hector. I think they should saved a few seconds from Ozzy-going-back-to-Hector and bring more scenes of the battle. Still a great episode. I haven't seen all season 2 yet, but this is already with one of the series best for me, right up there with "Sugar Shock" and the almighty "Where's There's Smoke".

  • NOTES (4)

    • The "club" scene contains an obvious allusion to the episode "Street Up". The whole club looks very similiar to one in "Street Up". Also, the scene at the backroom is probably a reference to the movie. Thrax also did his meeting in a backroom at a club, and the way Ozzy got exposed was also similiar. Plus, the two bank robbers from "A Louse Haircut" appear at the club.

    • The punk outfit that Drixeen wears when they are in the bar is the same one that Smirch told Drix to try on in "Street Up".

    • The alias that Ozzy uses when he is in the bar, 'Osmosina', is the same one he used in the bar in "Street Up".

    • More Christine-Hector hints. In Christine's dream, she is a princess, and Hector is the knight in shining armor. They are riding a unicorn together. Also, Hector gives Christine a rose in another dream she had. Plus, she says his name dreamily in her sleep.
