Since Kate shot someone (to save her Anderson's life), she has to take a polygraph test to prove she didn't do it. Kate practiced keeping her heart rate down prior to taking the test. She ended up passing, and she is cleared for the CIA. She does question her decision because of her relationship with Anderson.
Bridget comes back to town for Dean. He initially resists - telling her she can't just come back and expect them to be together. When Collette finds out about Bridget coming back in to town, she encourages him to go with Bridget and essentially breaks up with him. He goes to Bridget, with little fight from Collette.
Maggie is really put off by Senator Rawlings' political views. She goes as far as to write an article in the Village Voice with her thoughts. It ends up being published. Maggie later finds out that the senator is actually a really nice guy and now she has some explaining to do.
Ted continues to date his childhood crush, Amanda (played by Ashley Greene). He is frustrated since she will not have sex with him until they are married. Laura tells Ted to respect Amanda's wishes, which implies that Ted should propose to her sooner or later. Laura is still unclear of her feelings for Ted.
