  • Laura and Kate are thrilled when their lifelong dream of going to Paris together finally becomes a reality. Their happiness is short lived however when they discover their mother is a passenger on the flight. Also, Dean just can't let Bridgette go.moreless

    7.0
"We'll Always Have Paris" is a slight improvement over the pilot in the sense that it is more focused, and is not frought with overkill. There is a common theme that binds the storylines of this episode together. That theme is people struggling to get on with their lives. Laura and Kate's mother tries to get Laura to walk away from her job and marry the man she ran away from and Dean refuses to accept the fact that he will never be with Bridgette. In the end we see them both trying to let go. The storyline concerning Kate's involement with the CIA is well done here. That could be that start of an interesting story for the series. I hope it does not fall off course. Overall, this is a pretty good episode. Hopefully Pan Am will keep getting better. One last note, what's with Mrs. Havemeyer? She looks like she walked off the set of the James Bond movie From Russia with Love.moreless
