I fully agree with you seikhoqueen. I think pamhalpert has made some quick judgements based on appearances. And I doubt people such as Ryan, or Lorraine Warren, would deal with individuals who do not meet stringent requirements whether they be personal or professional. pamhalpert may have to closely examine her motivation for dissing so hard on Elfie. If you listen to Elfie speak she sounds a bit like she either has a speach impediment or a tongue piercing. Either way it does not negate her abilities to help Ryan, the team and the people they deal with. Many times Ryan has stated he appreciates her input and knowledge in these areas. This is proof enough her serivices are valuable!!!

I agree. Besides what right is it for us to judge.

I don't like Eilfie because her voice is so annoying it sounds like she either has a nasal congestion or a really bad lisp. She also doesn't seem to offer anything good to the teams, but that's my opinion.

That's pretty descriptive. I would have to say I do NOT agree with you at all. I think she's really smart on the show, and she really knows her stuff. Who cares if she read books on occult? Wouldn't she have to to gain the knowledge she has on the subject? Everything she says on the show are paramount to the investigation on hand. It makes perfect sense. She doesn't only use her occult knowledge either, she's awesome at researching the history of where they're investigating.

Maybe this is because they don't care about fame or fortune? It's the subject at hand that's the interest, not looking at sexy people. If that's what you want, watch the Hills or Jersey Shores. This is a subject for people actually interested in the SUBJECT not just the people.

"This woman has to be the biggest loser I have ever seen on tv. What an embarassment to the show. What makes this loser an "expert"?. She is nothing more than a girl who had no friends in school, so she tried to be "different" by getting in the Marilyn Manson Goth scene, only to find that she was just like the other MM nerds. She probably bought a book on witchcraft at a used bookstore and all of a sudden she was an "Occult Expert".

I hope while dabbling in things she doesn't understand like Occults and witchcraft, she gets possesed by some negative energies"

i can feel the hatred through the screen on the pc!! her high school social status maybe did get her into the life syle she chooses, but, hi school formed major parts, if not all of our adult lives. you claim she isnt qualified to be an "occult specialist". what are the qualifications exactly? do you know? and how do YOU know she doesnt posess those skills and knowledge? she has some personal issues that the show has touched on a few times. she had some really harsh family things happen and was gone from the show for a while, actually planning to leave but ryan got with her and helped her through the tough times and brought her back to the show. ryan is as serious as a heart attack about the supernatural and this show and if she didnt bring something substantial to the show, he would have used that opportunity to let her ride off into history, not bring her back.

it appears that she has some pretty serious self image problems. maybe from a lot of jerks in school cracking on her and calling her a friendless loser [sound familiar bub?] scarred her psyc. that happens when kids are made to feel out cast and forgotten and friendless. i dont think she likes to speak very much on camera due to her introverted nature, stage fright might be a good word. i think her talents and knowledge are brought out behind the camera, during research and prepping for the episodes. she goes over her research with ryan and the producers and ryan and chip use what she finds. just because she isnt staring into a chrystal ball or a smoldering pot of witches brew and speaking in ancient languages doesnt mean she isnt an "expert" in her chosen field.

lemme guess,you were the kid in hi school with the porche. big sports star on campus. fine cloths and the best of everything daddy could buy, right? kinda had a touch of that "i am up here, your down there" attitude that you shared with others at any given moment? thats sad.

it still shows. its fine wondering about her credentials but calling her a friendless loser and hi school weird-o and what not is just plain cruel and un called for. she is human and ANYONE with an actual heart can see she is troubled and hurt. why pile on?
