So many funny moments, with characters who are not only fully-developed, but also lovable. It's quintessential Parks and Rec.

Two years ago, I binge-watched this show on Netflix, starting with Season 1. I didn't love it, but I stuck with it because I had nothing better to do. This was the episode when I realized how lucky I was to have stuck with it. To me, this is the turning point for Parks and Rec, where it enters its incredible golden age that lasts through the end of Season 4.moreless
  • Leslie and the gang goes Hunting

    9.0
This was a superb episode. I think it's one of the best of the season and one of the best of the series so far. A story with Ron and Leslie are always good. They are contrast in styles. Leslie the ever positive hard worker and Ron the just-leave-me-alone guy. I live how Ron likes things the same but at the same time is not some stick in the mud. He's not bothered that women are on the hunting trip, he just likes things to stay the same. I also enjoyed all of Ron's insults on Leslie and later Tom. All the reasons Leslie gave the ranger of why she shoot her gun off was great. It's a common theme in the series. The B story was good as well. This was important part for April and Andy but more April. Before she was this "whatever" who didn't seem to care about anything or anyone. For the first time, you see her smile and laugh and not at the expense of someone. This was the episode that made me like the character of Andy even more. Who else but Andy could make her smile. Also (spoiler alert) this was the start of the relationship of Andy and April. This a very good episode with many good laughs.moreless
  • Horribly unrealistic but this episode was the most hilarious yet.

    9.0
This show is becoming classic. It's so unrealistic. But, it manages every week to be hilarious and original. This episode was no exception. Leslie talking about the Boy's Club was another great callback from Season One. This episode had it all. Donna crying over her car after Ron was shot in the back of the head, Ann making him purge (guess what Ann wasn't annoying and horrible this episode but hilariously funny) and Leslie telling the ranger scenarios was great as well. Andy and April were good too and it was funny. I still have some big issues with this show though- This is in no way Indiana. They should of just made it California! There is no depth in the series, and almost no development. But if this show can continue to be this funny, I'll take it with a grain of salt.moreless
  • This episode is awesome. I've watched it several times, and its hilarious every time. That last scene where everyone looses their appetite after viewing the shaved back of Rons head - its priceless!moreless

So Ron and the office boys are going on a hunting trip in the woods. Being a real suffragette, Leslie will not stand for it. After browbeating the girls way into the hunting team, Leslie wants to team up with her boss. And of course she wears him down. Unfortunately Ron gets hit in the back of his head by a dozen shots from a shotgun. Leslie becomes the main suspect of friendly fire.

After an unforeseen visit from a forest ranger, Leslie unexpectedly takes the blame for the shooting. Every one is bewildered. Ron is not happy and starts terrorizing Leslie with hate-messages, really being terribly disappointed in her. But when the forest ranger leaves, It is revealed that Leslie took the blame, so that Tom, who was the guilty part, wouldn't get a fine for not having a hunting licence.

Again, we can see the respect between Leslie and Ron, where he salutes her for doing the right, albeit not legally correct thing.moreless
  • On Target

    9.0
This is another episode I like that's underrated. This just has lots of funny/memorable moments. The only bad thing about the episode was I thought that excuse list scene with Lesile was unnessasarily long. Don't get me wrong I found most of that funny but I started to get bored after a while, sometimes less is more.

Anyway, the plot was great I really like how Lesile turned out to be a better hunter than Ron and may'be even just as much a man's man or should I say a woman's woman. Ron as usual was hillarous, my favorate quote from him was "I want you to find this guy, then purchise a coffin for him when I tear him apart." I can't help but crack up it almost felt like an action movie quote. And even that moment of physical comidy was hillarous, when Ann and Lesile were trying to get Ron to puge, he is wrestiling them off and then he cries out like an whinny kid, comic gold.

And there was even a some other moments like Donna acting hisarical because her Mersadies was shot as well, I don't blame her I might kinda lose it if one of my video games systems got blown away. But most of all the verbal humor which was a reference joke to the sci-fi film "Predator" which was great since I'm a fan of the film and Jerry is looking all scared because he actually thinks there is one out to get them, comic silver.

But in the end it was great that Ron appologized to Lesile for his put downs and accusing her and accepted her as a hunting buddy. Ron may not have found his great kill but he found a friend.moreless

      Ron: It's a work event, so .... legally I can't stop you.
Leslie: YES! This is going to be so fun! I'll bring s'mores.
Ron: And just like that, the one tiny aspect of government I enjoyed was clubbed to death before my eyes.

    • Leslie: The only trails he's going to be surveying are trails of lies and deception. Ron has a special deal with the park rangers. Every November, they let him use their cabin so that he can go on a secret hunting trip with all the guys in the office.
Tom: Not all the guys. He's never taken me.
      Leslie: Fine. All the men.
