  • The final episode of Season one

    This like most of Season one was one where if you see this episode and may not come away fairly of the series. This was a very short season and it can be hard to get an audience especially when another series (The Office) happened. This was still a good episode. When I originally saw this, I was not a fan of April. She was too "whatever" teen for me. But if you see the entire series, it makes you appreciate this. Another part I was not of fan of originally was Andy. But I did enjoy his concert. I thought he was a little too much of a"douche." This was a step forward for Mark. He went from wanting a one night stand to something meaningful. I also enjoyed Leslie's "date." I loved she kept her calm when she found out it was a date. I also liked the jokes Tom had on Leslie's date. Like any good season finale and especially a new series. It made you wonder what happened to Mark and also to Andy. A good episode that you appreciate if you see the entire series first.moreless

    Rock Show, - In this episode Andy gets his casts off his leg. To celebrate this he tells everyone about a concert he is having. The problem, Leslie is meeting with a guy who can go over her park dreams. At the dinner however, Leslie finds out it was a date set up by her mother. Leslie gets out of it to go see Andys rock show with the older"er" guy. But the show is over. Yet Andy wants to keep it going because Ann wants to go home which means she wants to argue for some reason. The reason being, Ann finds out that Andy could have gotting his casts off a couple weeks earlier but kept them on so Ann he wait on him. This bothers Ann to the point of kicking him out. They go home and argue. She tells him to get out which doesnt last long. Mark and Leslie go to the pit and talk about how and if the park will happen. Just as this going to happen Mark(who is drunk) falls into the pit and is badly hurt. Andy sees this and with a laughfull rage of excitment gets Ann to open the door to rush to them while he gets to watch tv. Overall not that bad of an episode. Good parts and some bad parts but more good parts. Great season finalemoreless

    Season 1 of Parks and Recreation ended on a pretty impressive note, especially after there was a few episodes in the middle that really didn't do anything for me. However, the Banquet episode and this finale really took every character and gave focus to them. There wasn't too much focus on Leslie and Mark (even though it's apparent the writers are trying to make these two the Jim/Pam of the show), and Tom, Andy and Ron had some fantastic lines.

    There's only a couple of things I don't like: the intern (who's name keeps escaping me) who doesn't really do much in the show. In The Office, Ryan was the intern and he was always involved in different ways. However, this intern doesn't really have much to do. Also, maybe it's because I've seen too much of The Office, but I still don't get the feeling that I care for these characters much. I've seen five seasons of The Office, so seeing these characters week after week still hasn't given me the same feeling. I hope it'll get there though.

    However, overall, this season was pretty good. I think it's a little more silly than The Office and doesn't take itself so seriously.. in some spots it does, but there's always an element of ridiculous to it. And that's not a bad thing at all. Plus, Aziz Ansari REALLY gets a chance to shine in the show, and I really hope he sticks around for good.moreless

    This episode was pretty good, and definitely an interesting end to the season. The scene where Leslie dates the 80 year old is hilarious. Amy was great and the show took a huge step forward by giving her a social life. Also, she and Mark kiss... and then Mark falls into the pit. Meanwhile Ann gets furious at Andy when she finds out that he kept his casts on two extra weeks so that she would keep taking care of him. Ann kicks him out of the house and he then witnesses Leslie and Mark's kiss and Mark's subsequent tumble into the pit. I would also like to point out Scarecrow Boat, who had some really good songs and Chris Pratt, who plays Mark, is a really good singer. So the season ends on a mini-cliffhanger. Mark is in the pit, Ann and Andy may break up, and Leslie addresses her feelings for her co-worker. All in all, not a bad first season.moreless

    Well after watching the whole first season. I would have to say that this is a pretty decent show. I think this was the best of the season. All the characters clicked. The plots were great. Finally the girl realizes that Andy is a total jerk. He just goes inside to watch TV after Mark fell in to the pit!? Andy should of been a regular this season since he was in every episode. I will definitely be watching next season. The 80 year old and Leslie on a date was hilarious! Mark & Leslie make out. Mark hits on that girl. An amazing episode.moreless
