You can really tell this is from the people that did Will and Grace. Everything from the writing to the sets to the camera work just screams Will and Grace.

Is that a bad thing? Will & Grace is a beloved classic.

To be honest, I'm a bit less sure about this series than The New Normal. Having watched so many single-camera sitcoms lately, the multi-cam/"studio audience" format ones seem kinda jarring. The timing and staging is different, and particularly the audience laughs(-track). I don't hate Brandon Routh as a slightly dim gay guy, tho. I'll keep watching it. Going down the same direction as W&G wouldn't make me stop watching it, but I also don't expect or necessarily want it to - just if it's unfunny or one-note. Or, if they make Louis and Wyatt sexless and intimacy-free.
