Party Down may not launch Starz into prominence the way Mad Men did with AMC, but it is still a fun show that is on Friday at 10:30, a time slot where there is not exactly stiff competition. The reason that it is not talked about that much though, or will not help Starz is because it is disappointing given who is involved. A cast featuring Ken Marino and Adam Scott, with guest appearances by Kevin Hart and JK Simmons and people expect greatness, not mediocrity.

This episode was just awkward from the 70's style dancing to the conversations about popularity to a weird sex scene.moreless

  • This episode was the antithesis of MTV's My Super Sweet 16, complete with petty kids boycotting Taylor's party while the "losers" show up. The obviously spoiled teen daughter and the frazzled dad who has an affinity for @ss threats and s*it.moreless

This episode was extremely funny! Compared to the fifth episode, this one actually makes change. From the time Roman starts in on Kyle for bleaching his teeth(he deliberately hits Kyle on his mouth due to the increased sensitivity his teeth have post-bleaching) to the time Constance cheers Taylor on for her ultimate decision, there were plenty of laughs to go around. One such highlight is when Ron talks with the two rappers who were supposed to be singing at Taylor's birthday party and smokes pot with them...a lot of hydroponic-grown pot. Wait, I'm not sure he actually smoked or if he really inhaled(a la Bill Clinton) instead, but it was funny as hell.moreless
