Party Wagon

Show Summary

The show is about a group of misfits traveling on the Oregon Trail. The only reason they stay together is that each one has a piece of a map (stolen from a crazy prospector known as Three-Eyed Jack) leading to a hidden diamond mine in El Glitterado, Washington. Created by Craig Bartlett, well known for creating Hey Arnold!

Hands down, Craig Bartlett is a talented cartoon creator. After the success of his show "Hey Arnold" he tried to come abck with a carty called "Party Wagon" Cartoon Network picked it up for one cartoon movie, and sadly that was it. The animation was real good, and sound quality was good. It had veryfunny scenes and a good clip of a storyline. Entertaining and witty for a cartoon too.

The story was based on a bunch of settlers wanting to make there life out west. There is two wagon groups... the main group, and the people we watch, or the outsiders. There is a constant competition between the two. Also, a prospector wants to strike it rich. His group and him, all have parts of a map, that show there is gold in and around the Seattle area of Washington State, then part of Oregon Terroritory. The story goes on a fun adventure from there on too. You watch them pass the Mississippi river, cross the plains, then over the rockies, and down the Columbia River. They get to Fort Vancouver, and choose whether to go to Oregon City, or Seattle. It's a very unique idea for a cartoon, being based way back then, especially for how the TV kids now like modern hip things. I think this was a very good series that deserved a actual series. One of my favorite TV movies.moreless
