      • (After the Funky Band plays again, this time with Ootsie and Bootsie invited)
Jelly: Well, Ootsie and Bootsie, how do you like our Lake Hoohaw Funky Band?
Ootsie: I think it's smashing. (Taps a note on the glockenspiel)
Bootsie: (Nods) Absolutely. But it might sound better on the poodle side of the lake.
        Others: (Except Ootsie; crossly) Bootsie!
Bootsie: (Looks puzzled, then giggles and shrugs) Just kidding?
        (They all laugh)

      • Jelly: Everybody, there's something I wanna say to all of you. I just wanna say that I'm sorry for acting like such a big showoff before. I guess I was trying so hard to be a star, I kinda forgot how to be a good friend. But you guys are the best friends an otter could ever have and I won't ever forget that again. Thanks, everybody.

      • Peanut: Jelly, you wrecked our castle!
Flick: Why don't you watch where you're walking?
Jelly: Why don't you watch where I'm walking?
Pinch: Jelly Otter, what are you doing?

      • Munchy: Space creatures have us surrounded, Ranger Peanut. We can't hold them off much longer. Especially with these cardboard tubes.
Peanut: Shh, we're pretending, remember? (heroic voice) Fear not, Ranger Munchy. Ranger Jelly and Ranger Butter will help us fend them off.

      • Pinch: Jelly?!
        Jelly: Huh?
        Pinch: Jelly?! Jelly?!
        Jelly: Hey, Pinch.
Pinch: Jelly, it's time for our dress-up tea party.
Jelly: Sorry, Pinch. I don't have time for any dinky tea parties. After all, I'm a famous singer now. (Pinch looks shocked and walks away.) Wow, I've got a million things to do before my big performance.

      • Peanut: Hey, I just thought of something.
        Jelly: What?
Peanut: I don't think we should have to fool our friends into playing with us. Or give 'em stuff or anything.
Jelly: Yeah. Let's just think of something else to do.

      • Ootsie: Oh, yoo hoo! Would anyone care for this mountain of ice cream molded into the shape of your heads?
Bootsie: Mercy me. I don't know whether to eat it or climb it.
Flick, Munchy, Pinch and Scootch: Whoa!
Jelly: We just got ice creamed.
Peanut: How do they do that?

      • (Peanut, Butter and Jelly are the only ones left playing in the Lake Hoohaw Funky Band. Peanut suddenly stops and looks around.)

Peanut: Hey, where did everybody go?
Jelly: Hey, where's the Lake Hoohaw Funky Band?
Peanut: It's like they just disappeared! (They hear the sound of the others laughing and chattering.)
Flick: Hey, Munchy, look over here.
Peanut: Come on! Let's go find out who took the funky out of our band.
        Jelly: Yeah, let's get funky!

      • Bootsie: All this exercise is making me tired.
Ootsie: (hears the other kids laughing and playing) Well, it sounds like someone is having fun.
        Bootsie: Without us? The nerve!
Ootsie: (using a pair of binoculars to spy) Just as I suspected. Everybody is over at PB&J's.
Bootsie: And they are definitely having fun.
