  • Tetsunosuke Ichimura has always been upset about his short stature. After he sees his parents being murdered by a Choushuu, he heads to the Shinsengumi with his older brother Tatsubiske to get stronger and take revenge on the his parent's assasin.moreless

The most simple way to express my love for this show is to say, I LOVE IT. It's humorous timing and easy to follow story is so attractive, in comparison to other samurai animes set in this time period. I think the characters are funny and solidly developed and that this series is at times very light-hearted and very down to earth almost as you can relate to it (not that your a samurai or a person who sees people running around with swords everywhere and pigs who attack people, nor short fifteen-year-old crimson-haired kids calling you or someone else "bastards", nor that you see Shinsengumi at various places.) It's a shame that their were only twenty-seven episodes.moreless

This was very good that it was. It made me laugh it made me cry at times all in all it was an amazing show. After, I bought the Dvds I was thinking "this better be good" Since I bought all seven dvds which at about $20 a pop was a bit expensive but completly worth it in the end. I adored many characters in this show some grew on me and some I liked at the beginning i didn't like at the end so it was a show with a lot of chacter develpoment which i really liked. I wish there was more to this then twenty-six episodes almost all shows that are this shows should not be....and that I do believe to be true.moreless
  • An introduction to one of the most amazing anime produced by Gonzo Animation, this show is truly an eye-opener.

This show harbors on the borderline of insanity and wonderment. I started watching this series on Showtime Beyond which airs mostly on Friday nights. The storyline is strong, intense, and based upon the historical police force of the Shinsengumi in Japan. I love the dialogue, the characters, and the mind-boggling action. If you're an avid fan of samurai sword-fighting, comic relief, and heart-wrenching drama, then you have to watch this show. (It is PG-14 for the bloody-gore, nudity, and adult situations.)moreless
  • Testunoske's goal to join the shinsengumi and avenge the death of his father and mother. At the age of 15, many people doubt that he can do this. Time is running out though as the Cho-su are planning an attack and Testu has to rise to the challenge.moreless

I love this anime because not only is it full of humor, but action as well. Testu is really cute and full of energy so there isn't much doubting his abilities to come through and be a great warrior. The first time I saw PeaceMaker, I was alittle confused. At first I thought Okita was a girl and then there were a lot of unanswered questions throughout the series. I thought that the fight scenes were great because they didn't limit the amount of violence and gore that some other shows have done. This anime is just another that lacks closure but that means that there is room for more, or atleast i hope so.moreless

I loved this show from the first episode. It has some of the same elements in it as Kenshin (which is fine by me..I am a HUGE Kenshin fan), but it is also unique in its own way as well.

I can't gush on and compare the two to death though or else I will ruin it for you if you haven't seen the series.. let me just say this show is full of action and comedy..a great show with plenty of promise!! check it out!!
