I just remembered something. In the Penny cartoon from "Reba Eats and Pterri Runs," one part of the jump rope rhyme Penny recited had this line:
Boys are stupid and made out of cotton. Girls are sexy and made out of pepsi.
Do you think the word "sexy" sounds a little inappropriate for children under age 12 to hear, even in a jump rope rhyme? The rhyme, "Harvard Street" has another version I heard from another show, Hey Arnold!. It goes ...
Boys are rotten and made out of cotton Girls are sassy and made from milassy.
So, does the "sexy" part seem somewhat unexceptable, and a little too adult-like, for little ones?
