The fact that cheerleaders get injured is not a big surprise to me. What was a big surprise was the part of the show dealing with the "Varsity" corporation. Most of the issues seemed to be with cheerleading "camps" or programs outside of the school-based teams. The outrageous costs, the fraud/scam of "nationals" (all 66 of them), and the lack of training for coaches was all very surprising. If a school-based program is unsafe they have to answer to the school board, PTA, etc. These private cheer enterprises though seem to be a bit exploitive and often dangerously negligent. Not the best BS ever, but still worth watching.
