  • Penn and Teller tackle the basic idea that "nobody's perfect" by shining on light on people we THOUGHT actually were: Mother Teresa, Gandhi and the Dalai Lama.

As I classified this episode, it clearly is one that reminds me why I watch this series. While some episodes can be borderline "mean" (I don't know HOW with such a clever title!) this one simply clears up misguided notions that we all thought to be true. Notions that "Mother Teresa was a saint" and "Gandhi wanted us all to love one another in peace". These guys DO the research, dig up the truths about past dealings, and show that no person is so one-sided - especially if that side seems to be undeniably good. And while they'll admit that some of the things these folks did were possibly great, the idea that they are "perfect" or "Holier Than Thou" is... the title of their show.moreless
