Penny to a Million was a game show that aired in 1955 on ABC network.
The show developed from an initial pilot to a five episode series with
Bill Goodwin as host. The objective of the game was to correctly answer
trivia questions in return for money. The contestants (taken from the
studio audience) would answer questions in a four player competition.
Initially starting out with a penny, the pot would grow up to a million
pennies ($10,000) with the possibility of the winner in a playoff taking
the entire jackpot.
