Great episode with a little unknown but talented actress named Sue Ball playing Larry's sister. Sue played her part perfectly here it's too that Perfect Strangers didn't make any more episodes with her. The next episode with a family member would be Larry's Brother Billy a few seasons later.
Larry is ecstatic to meet Sue as is Balki but his controlling ways go haywire when Sue tells him she won't go to college.
In a way, Larry's reaction is so common especially among overprotective, controlling parents. Often times this results in disaster with a unique talented individual never realizing their dream (and then everybody is miserable).
Luckily we see Balki strike sense into Larry. Eventually Larry sees the stupidity of his ways especially since he knows he may not see his sister for a long time. If only real life families would do this as well.
Needless to say this was a great episode. The acting by this one hit wonder of sorts, Sue Ball, is great capturing the spirit of a girl/woman wanting approval for her actions especially when it means making her dreams come true.
