Outside the apartment building the paper boy is selling papers with the two-line headline "Wife Indicted for Husband's Murder." The copy he sells Anders has a one-line headline reading "Brewster... Bail." After Anders returns to the inside of the building, the one-line headline now reads "...Murdered."
We see the inside of Paul Drake's office when Frank Thatcher arrives to meet him, as well as his receptionist, Margo.
Perry: You know, when I leave here I'm meeting Paul Drake at a restaurant. He'll pick up the check for dinner. That'll be the fee for my services. He's just a friend but I never once doubted his innocence.
