"TCOT Angry Mourner" takes the crew outside of L.A. once again to defend a woman charged with murdering a lothario after her daughter. No Tragg and Burger this time around, but there is a nice guest performance from Paul Fix (no stranger to courtroom dramas - he's the judge in To Kill A Mockingbird).

This isn't the strongest episode - the guilty party isn't even presented as a suspect until the climax. Plus, Perry faces practically no opposition in the courtroom from the prosecutor or the judge. Everyone's so darn friendly, even when he pulls the usual antics that make Burger jump out of his chair.

It's a nice change of pace and there are a couple of funny lines from Paul and Della, but it's not one of the best from Season 1.moreless
