      • A couple of actual books are mentioned in this episode. In one scene Perry remarks that he needs to replace his copy of Manning and Granger's Reports. The full title is Manning and Granger's Common Pleas Reports. It is a legal publication used by lawyers which lists court decisions. The other is The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman by Laurence Sterne (1713-1768). It's a comic novel published in nine different volumes from 1759 to 1767.
