      ADD TRIVIA
      • Guest star Judy Tyler died in a real-life car crash after this episode was made. Her death occurred on July 4, almost six months before it aired. She was only 24 years old. She is more famously known for her role as Elvis Presley's costar in the film JAILHOUSE ROCK. Edit
      • This episode was the first episode of Perry Mason to be filmed although it didn't air until December of 1957. Edit
    • Notes

      ADD NOTES
      • This episode marked the second and final appearance on the show of the character of Sgt. Holcomb, played in this episode by Rusty Wescoatt. In his previous incarnation on TCOT Restless Redhead, Holcomb was played by Dick Rich. Though only appearing in two episodes of the television series, Sgt. Holcomb was Perry's primary police antagonist in most of the early Perry Mason novels before giving way to Lt. Tragg. As we see in this episode, Holcomb was little more than a brute who wasn't above falsifying evidence or giving perjured testimony in order to gain a conviction on a suspect. Edit
