      ADD NOTES
      • This episode marked the second and final appearance on the show of the character of Sgt. Holcomb, played in this episode by Rusty Wescoatt. In his previous incarnation on TCOT Restless Redhead, Holcomb was played by Dick Rich. Though only appearing in two episodes of the television series, Sgt. Holcomb was Perry's primary police antagonist in most of the early Perry Mason novels before giving way to Lt. Tragg. As we see in this episode, Holcomb was little more than a brute who wasn't above falsifying evidence or giving perjured testimony in order to gain a conviction on a suspect.
