  • On the day of music star Kaitlynn Parrish's wedding, the GROOM's (not the bride's) uncle is murdered and she's accused. Her "honorary" uncle Perry is in attendance, and of course Perry takes the case

This one follows a similar formula as many of the TV movies. Perry personally knows the defendant. Ken Malansky must find a missing key witness (in this case a young fan of the accused who snuck into the wedding) before the killer does. Mr. Malansky unwillingly acquires a helper, although this time it's not a young lady, but instead it's the bride's fiance. He has a run-in with somebody. This time it's a gang of music bootleggers who think he's someone else. (Fans of Crosby, Stills & Nash should recognize Stephen Stills as the gang's leader!) An ongoing romance between Perry and Della is hinted at, something the original series pretty much stayed away from. Aside from that, or maybe even because of it, it's enjoyable fun. (Note: there is a very thin hint at the end that Perry may be more than just an honorary uncle to the defendant)
