    One of the thing that makes me love this series is the feeling that we are watching a fresh take to superhero comics; for example the main weakness of superhero comics are the fancy costumes and POI dispense of them from the start (if you ignore Reese 'suit').

    So, what we have here?

    Reese plus Finch = Batman

    The Machine = a nicer OMAC Brother Eye

    Fusco plus Carter = Gordon

    Elias = Kingpin (I know, wrong universe)

    Zoe = Catwoman

    Root = the Oracle gone dark side

    Scarface = Deatstroke? It is just an Elias enchman but he survived more encounters with Reese than any other goons around.

    Thoughts?

    P.S. If the next year they will start a Los Angeles spin-off with an undercover super powered alien in a few years they will render DC & Marvel irrelevant.

    I'd say Finch is more like Alfred and Elias is more like Penguin.

    If we try to keep it all D.C. that would be the logical association but Alfred never was a big hacker and it was Batman always in front a bunch of monitors in the bat-cave.

    Another way could be:

    Reese + Finch = Bruce + Alfred

    But with some mixed characteristics (like Reese work for Finch where Alfred work for Bruce).

    I do not know well the Penguin origins but the Kingpin ones are (very vaguely) similar to the Elias ones. Luckily for Colantoni he is much less fat than both of them.

    P.S.Darren McGrady(Astro) = Robin (thank God just a tentative one)

    Yes they are clearly comic book superheroes but that is where their similarity to Batman ends. Batman and Superman are both comic book heroes too but I don't see you trying to make them identical. He's a comic book superhero because he delivers up vigilante justice from the shadows, he has a side kick and he's hunted by the law. And you can't ignore the suit, it is his moniker, his costume if you will, it's just a much better looking costume than a cape, long johns. And by the by, I think his official super hero name should be The Suit. And while technically Finch recruited Reece and Reece has said "I work for you" to Finch, they treat each other as partners, and actually Reece tends to call more shots than Finch does.
