  • Back on track!

After two previous comical episodes, Blake Edwards gets back on track with good music, blond bombshells, suspense and thrills. An excellent Who Done it episode.

This episode focuses on the more serious side of the Peter Gunn series. Classic lines abound. Particularly good scenes are when Craig Stevens enters Mother's with "Rowena" and is seated at the best seat in the house..right in front of Lola Albright! Excellent scripting conversation between Stevens and Albright during this portion of the show. There is continuous, well-written dialog between Craig Stevens and "Rowena" also. Perhaps the only goofy scene is the carnival's strong man who appears to be nothing more than a short, pudgy, overweight man. He is clearly no match (despite his threats) for Peter Gunn.
