The plot is again pretty thin, and feebly resolved, but once again, there are reverberations with later works (for the cinema) in the career of series creator Blake Edwards. The opening, where a reporter pulls into his garage and, as the electronic door is closing, realises he is not alone, is identical to the start of Edwards's 1962 movie "Experiment In Terror", where Lee Remick is menaced by someone even scarier than this segment's big dog. Then again, the philosphical tramp played by J. Pat O'Malley is very similar to O'Malley's character in 1967's "Gunn", the movie Edwards abstracted from this series. The ostensible villain of the story is barely seen; the attention is chiefly given to the details on the periphery.
