      • This episode was way ahead of it's time, in regards to this series.
The episode was a precursor of what was to come later in the series, beginning with season 4 when singing became much more common in the "Petticoat Junction" timeline, with the addition of Mike Minor and Meredith MacRae, both professional singers in real life, to the cast.
Other than this episode, and a few others in which Pat Woodell did some solos, singing was only a small, minimal part of the series during this early period.

      • Don Washbrook (Herbie Bates) and Stephen Ellsworth (Hopper), may have appeared in this episode, but were not listed in the closing credites.

      • Two days prior (March 22nd, 1964), the "Ladybugs" actually made their debut on the Ed Sullivan Show, and sang the same song "I Saw Him Standing There" that they sung on this episode (which was a gender modified version of the Beatles song "I Saw Her Standing There", written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney).
