Arthur and Phil Go Off was a short series of programs featuring the talents of "Fiasco Job Job", otherwise known as Phil Nice and Arthur Smith. These two were supposedly serious documentary film makers tackling such subjects as The Loch Ness Monster, Marbella, and the joys of the M1. The approach was to provide an in depth and never seen before angle. They would often end up just scaring the unaware public (e.g by informing the people of a village close to the M1 that their homes were to be destroyed by a new M1 by-pass!) This programme cleverly used actors and the real public to provide a believable scenario to Phil and Arthur's investigations. The music was by Jools Holland too.
