All the action takes place in the fancy, trendy, delicious, "Chez Platypus", a new platypus themed restaurant that Phineas and Ferb create after a less than satisfying night at a bistro that left the boys hungry for more, while Jeremy and Candace, finally on for a night of romance, meet their match: The velvet rope. Doofenshmirtz is the only threat to this night of romance, as he plans to activate a satellite beam to rid the world of loveif his blind date goes badly, of course.moreless

    I liked this episode. It does what Phineas and Ferb does best, pushing the formulaic plot structure boundaries without breaking them. You see, in a formulaic show all every fanfiction writer wants is for Phineas and Isabella to marry, Perry to talk and Phineas and Ferb to return to school. In this episode the relationship element was pushed, and evolved, without breaking the formulaic structure. Nicely done, Dan and Swampy. It was an all round enjoyable episode, sad ending but then again what do you expect? Villains always lose on tv. The jokes were good, and Doofenshmirtz does his best to be equal to Mr Burns (and succeeds imo at least) as one of the greatest animated villains with character and personality of all time. His mannerisms and style are excellently presented especially the the door sequence with Perry. As usual the episode is consistent and a fine example from Season Two.moreless

    First episode I ever saw of this show and it didn't disappoint. Fun plot, engaging character moments and a cute song. The Chez Platypus plot was alot of fun. Candace trying to get into the resturante was pretty funny at times and Jeremy was very sweet. The phone call from Stacy in the begining of the episode ("Someone IMed me that they overheard someone else talking about someone they overheard who heard that Jeremy is going to call and ask you out today! Ah!") was hilarious XD. Living with a teenage girl I can relate to hearing this everyday (though not exactly to the scale that Candace and Stacy did). And the Dr. Doof plot was so cute! I loved the girl he was with (they didn't even give her a name in the episode!) and the way they interacted. Their song is among my favorites aswell. Spectacular episodes :Dmoreless
