  • Could've been better if it wasn't for Candace

This episode was good, but Candace was very very cruel in the beginning
  • Coulda Been Better

As usual, Perry needs a mission to defeat Doctor D. When he goes to get the mission, he learns he is being relocated to a new, more evil, more destructive villain. So he needs a new family in a new part of town. Of course, Phineas and Ferb do not know this, so they panic and frantically search For Perry. In the end them, their friends, and Candace, all sing a song, and Perry comes home in the end {after being reassigned to Doctor D}.

A great episode. Maybe a little rushed at times, but overall great, with one of their better written songsmoreless
  • Could've been better

You know, I actually expected a half an hour episode for these kinda plots. But, ah well.

It's quite cute. A little rush. To be truthfully honest, I didn't really pay attention to this episode. Everything was just happening too fast. First they shoot to P&F then in the next second they shoot to Perry and then the next second to P&F again. I felt that it was really rushy. Perhaps they could have made this part where they show Perry really missing the boys? Like, yea, he enjoys kicking his villain's butt but at the same missing them as well?

But on the bright side, I LOVE 'Come Home Perry' ^_^moreless
  • (Almost) a perfect episode!

This could be one of the best episodes of the series so far. The idea of Perry being relocated and how it affects the family, and Doofenshmirtz is a fantastic idea. The only problem I had with this one is that it was too short, it should have been a full length half hour episode.

I wanted to see Perry get relocated and meet his new family and not enjoy it, maybe have some flashbacks of the good times with Phineas and Ferb, ect. I wanted to see that snail fight with Doofenshmirtz and see him realize that he needs Perry back, similar to "it's about time". The song at the end was perfect, and would have felt even better if we went through a half hour of Perry being gone. It could have even fit into a redux of the episode, where Perry runs away and doesn't want to come back.

Overall a great episode, but it should have been 30 minutes.

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • When Phineas tells Candace that Perry has always been at home for breakfast, that isn't entirely true. In "Unfair Science Fair", Perry disappears one day, and Phineas, Ferb, and Baljeet re-find him in the middle of the next day.

    • Song: Come Home, Perry.

  • QUOTES (2)

    • (Candace thinks she's found Perry, but it turns out to be a beaver somebody is walking on a leash)
Candace: You have a pet beaver?
Woman: Well, you have a pet platypus.
      Candace: Touché.

    • Doofenshmirtz: Don't look at me like that, Perry the Platypus. I know what you're thinking. I-I'm not some lowly intern, I'm an evil scientist. I am Heinz Doofenshmirtz, and he should be bowing down to me! Hey-o, Mister Regurgitator! Let's get things straight!
      Regurgitator: What?!
Doofenshmirtz: Okay, okay. (backs away) See that, Perry the Platypus? Compromise!

  • NOTES (2)

    • Dr. Doofenshmirtz's inability to recognize Perry without the hat is justified in this episode. It's revealed there are several platypii that look like Perry without the hat that Phineas had to take a closer look at each one of them to be sure Perry wasn't among them.

    • Marty the Rabbit and his musical blender make their first appearance since Flop Starz. He speaks for the first time in this short.

    • After the Regurgitator is defeated, Doofenshmirtz shouts "We did it! We did it! Lo hicimos, we did it!" This may be an allusion to Dora the Explorer, where at the end of an episode she and company would sing "We did it, we did it, we did it, yeah! Lo hicimos, we did it!".

    • The song in this episode is a likely reference to the Peanuts movie Snoopy, Come Home.
