  • I laughed so hard!

Hands down my favorite episode! ROFL Candace trippin' balls on moss is the greatest idea for a story line ever!

I really could watch this one over and over. Love it!

  • The kids are at the lake with their grandparents and go searching for the treasure of Badbeard the pirate. Meanwhile, Candace follows Perry as he fights with Doofenshmirtz.

This is a pretty good episode. They did a great job of risking Perry's cover by having Candace follow him around, but they were able to deal with it well, with her hallucinations going on throughout the ep. This also opened her up to get dragged along on the jetski, get covered in seaweed and scare Doofenshmirtz into thinking she was the old seahag of the island. It was also interesting to see that she recognized him as the Pharmasist from "runaway Run Way". The P&F storyline didn't do much of anything unexpected, just went looking for treasure and found it. Overall the episode was good. Grade : Bmoreless
  • A very trippy episode, and you'll likely only care about the part with Candace. Something tells me that the writers were on LSD during the production of this episode...

It begins with Grandpa playing a bugle (keep in mind, this takes place chronologically around the same time as "Get That Bigfoot Outta My Face"). The kids (and Candace) all get out of their tents, and Phineas's grandpa tells the kids the story of the ruthless bearded lake pirate Badbeard, the most ruthless pirate "to ever plunder a lakeside community." When Grandpa tells the kids that Badbeard's booty ("You know--treasure") is buried deep within Spleen Island (a supposedly haunted island on the nearby lake), the kids decide to go treasure hunting--but be warned, it's guarded by a curse: whoever disrupts it will forever be plagued with a big ugly beard on their face!!! As they approach the lake, Grandpa warns the kids to "stay clear of the [orange] moss: the slightest touch will cause wild hallucinations." Candace, who is busy trying to get cell phone reception, inadvertently leans against the moss, and as soon as she realizes what she's done, freaks out and runs off into the woods. This is where the true fun begins

While the kids build a ship to take them to Spleen Island, Perry is snatched by an eagle (who turns out to be Agent E), and Major Monogram (whose transmitter is inside a half-hatched egg) tells Perry that Doofenschmirtz just bought living space in Spleen Island (ironic, eh?). Candace is busy watching from a tree. Awestruck by seeing this (though thinking it's only from the moss), she loses balance and falls out of the tree, in time to see Perry dash to the island on a wetski and for Candace to get caught on a rope attached to the wetski for seemingly no reason.

Then is the musical number, with the kids singing about searching for treasure, seasickness, a lack of underwear, romance, and Candace says the utterly hillarious line--no, wait, you'll have to watch it to see how funny and trippy it is.

The kids reach the cave and dash through its pitfalls, and even manage to escape a giant deadly lizard. When they find no treasure, Baljeet suggests that the treasure is actually friendship, Phineas (pointing to a doorway marked with an X) says "Nah, it's right over there!" A wonderful twist on an overused cliche, if you ask me. And when Phineas opens the chest...his face suddenly has A BAD BEARD!!! And, it turns out, the chest contained tons of fake bad beards. Funny? Yeah. Odd? Extremely.

Meanwhile, Candace, still apparently high, is still tied to PErry's wetski, and Perrry enters the Cave of the Old Sea Hag (the Old Sea Hag supposedly haunts the cave Doofenschmirtz bought). Perry finds that Dr. D wasn't actually up to anything, but he is skeptical. So, to "appease" Perry's doubt, Dr. D ties up Perry and gradually lowers him into a watery pit with two crocodiles ("Susan and Susan-- I named them after each other!"). Perry escapes, and Candace (who is covered in seaweed and such from her "ride") surprises Dr. D, who thinks she's the old sea hag!! Shocked, Dr. D backs away (I forgot exactly, but I believe what he backs into lets Perry free). Candace, still tripping, pushes Dr. D's self-destruct button thinking it's a vending machine that dispenses beef jerky. This causes the whole island to implode. Phineas and Ferb and the gang quickly escape to their ship with armloads of beards, and Perry quickly grabs Candace as they escape in a water current that forms, with Agent E rescuing them and dropping them onto the ship. The kids, Candace (who has apparently revived), and Perry sail back to camp.

Back at the camp, the kids tell Grandpa about their adventure, and he agrees that it's "the greatest pirate story ever told!" Meanwhile, Candace is talking to Grandma in her tent about her experience, and that she has learned to stay away from the orange moss. BUT!!--in a twist, Grandma says that it's actually the BLUE moss that needs to be avoided, and that it was probably all in Candace's head. Ironically, after Grandma leaves, Candace discovers blue moss right next to her sleeping bag...

Overall, this was a hillarious episode, with a wonderful song and witty dialogue (the script was well-written). The Candace sub-plot, for once, is not about Candace trying to bust Phineas and Ferb, but is instead a psychadelic experience in itself that will of course remind you of drugs, Alice in Wonderland, and the Jimi Hendrix songs "Purple Haze" and "Hey Joe".

I give it an optimistic 61/10 :-) If you don't watch this episode, you will regret it!!!moreless

This would have to be my favourite episode of Phineas and Ferb. A follow up to the "Get that Bigfoot outta my face" or whatever, it is a really great story and I liked the song they were singing too! I recommend it to anyone who likes Phineas and Ferb and definetely to anyone who enjoyed the bigfoot episode. At first I didnt like Phineas and Ferb, but now I watch it to see episodes, definitely this one, which I like. I havent seen the third camp one, but if its half as good as this one was, I think it's definitly worth watching!moreless
  • If you love to see people finding treasure, people discovering a very good secret while it looks like they did weed or drinking, you'll love this episode!

I love this episode so much. It has a special guest in it, I don't know who, but long story short, Phineas and Ferb are pirates, and Candice touches something that makes her look like she did drugs (marjuana or beer). The funny part is that she was actually discovering a very kept secret, but it was all dilousonal to her. That is all the info I can give you. MUST SEE EPISODE!!! To me, it seems like PG-13, but, I'm TV-14 imaginative. SO that's it. b b b b b b b b b b b b b b bmoreless
