  • Too hip for the room?

    7.0
I enjoyed the movie references to "The Remains of the Day," which centers on a butler whose service to others meant he could never do what he really wanted to, and "Memento," which begins at the climax and then moves backward in time as the movie goes on to show what led up to the final resolution.
  • A bad concept turned even worse.

    2.0
This episode is basically another example of how P&F has been going downhill recently. First of all, what's up with the title of "The Remains of the Platypus"? That name is completely irrelevant to an episode about butlers, cheese, and what not.

The plot is about Perry being turned into butler with Doof's butler-inator, while Phineas and Ferb build a Cheesetopia; however, all of it is explained backwards. The whole backwards' "15 min earlier" and "6 Hours earlier" stuff was annoying. Why did the writers have to explain the episode backwards. Even if it was explained forwards the entire way, the episode still would've sucked anyways. The Perry plot was just awful. While the Butler-Inator may sound like a small parody of show, it was just plain bad. The P&F plotline was wasted. I like the idea of a cheesetopia, but it was just boring, and the musical number feels like it was just rushed all together and no fun at all . And the pacing is just too fast.

And let's also talk about the humor. The humor in this episode is filled with cheese puns. While I do like "cheesy bad" humor in shows, the humor in this one was way too repetitive for my taste, and the "Cheese" humor was just too "cheesy bad".

This episode was just awful. Both plots are bad. The humor was lame. And the whole "Backwards" gimmick was stupid all together. And this episode is another reason why this show is jumping the shark. Just watch Seasons 1, 2, and the Season 3 the episodes before The 2nd Dimmension.moreless
  • A HUGE mess of an episode!!

    1.0
Ok this episode starts out with craziness going on at Dr. Doofensmertz evil layer so they have flashbacks (like 2 minutes ago, 10 minutes ago, 3 hours ago ect..) and in those Phineas and Ferb make a cheese topia city. I thought this was a truly awful installment of Phineas and Ferb. First off what's up with the title the remains of the Playpus? I don't get it. All that Perry does in this episode is be Dr. Doofensmirts butler and that's about it. Also this episode was WAY to crazy for me. I mean Carl dressed up in a squirrel costume, Dr. Doofensmirts taking off his clothes? What the heck? That was just too crazy for me. Also when it did all the flashbacks I was confused at one point. I was like What? Also I thought it was a horrible idea to give this episode in a backwards form. I mean I would've liked this episode so much better if they started it with Phineas and Ferb building Cheese Topia. Also, I can tell that the writers didn't think this through because I thought that they started to run out of ideas starting at Losta Lakers, but it was so stinking obivious that they didn't think this out. I'm sure they were brainstorming and came up to this and make it into an episode because they didn't think of anything else. Also, Candance got on my nerves in this episode, the jookes in this episode are the ones we heard a million times and they also got on my nerves. Also Buford got on my nerves for the first time. That better not happen again. Like he would say a cheese pun that we've heard a billion times that got way too old. Like "Who cut the cheese." I've heard that so much but the only time it was really funny was in Zeke and Luther. Also the subplot just made me roll my eyes a lot. Also this episode was really pointless. I mean this would would kind of stink if this episode wasn't made. Well this was a truly awful installment of Phineas and Ferb. I can't believe my friends found this show hilarious and original. I guess they havn't seen this episode yet. I'm telling you avoid this episode at all possible. PLEASE!!!!! You'll thank me if you do. Overall a truly awful installment of Phineas and Ferb.moreless
  • Better than the previous two reviewed episodes, but still has its problems

All is explained in an unusual episodethat starts at the end and works its way back to the beginning. I thought this episode was mediocre. It would have a little higher if weren't for these things: The cheese jokes (although that made me want to eat cheese) was getting annoying. The timeline was pathetic. I just wish the episode was going in order instead of starting when Perry joined the dark side. Last, of course, Candace. I am in the stinking mood right now, annoying character for another trying to bust Phineas and Ferb and then show to Linda (their mom) as usual the same old annoying disappearance...yep, that's the one I'm talking about....the writers need to get rid of the joke. It got being unfunny for like the 22nd time *yeah, it got old in season 1). Anyway, the episode was just okay. There were some funny parts here. Overall a mediocre episode, but those two things made no sense at all. 5.5/10moreless
  • Too many bad and overrused jokes

All is explained in an unusual episodethat starts at the end and works its way back to the beginning. This was yet another awful episode of "Phineas and Ferb". Just by watching how disastrous the second half of the 3rd season is becoming... I can totally tell that the writers aren't even trying anymore. Not only do I hate Candace ten times more but the jokes are no longer good and they are beginning to use jokes that we've already heard before. For example, every single corny and awful cheese pun that Buford made... I've already heard those before such as when he said "Who cut the cheese". Also, Buford was getting really repetitive with the cheese puns and annoyed the living heck out of me and it has done nothing but made me roll my eyes. Also, this episode is very pointless and almost the entire episode.... it shows "5 minutes earlier", "3 hours earlier", "25 minutes earlier", etc. almost all the way through the entire episode and it made no point and I bet it even confuses the little kiddies seeing that. The episode had an awful pacing too... it just rushed all the way through. Candace as usual is annoying and pointless. Lastly, this episode has WAY too many bad, overrused, and corny jokes which is in a HORRIBLE way. This show really needs to cut it our with the jokes because I didn't get a chuckle and the Doofenschmirtz/Perry plot was even bad in this episode. The writers just made no point doing that "5 minutes earlier", "3 hours earlier", etc. stuff. I'm not surprised that this episode was awful though because as soon as I saw the promo, I said "Yep, this episode is gonna suck". Overall, another awful episode of "Phineas and Ferb".... dang, how many more bad episodes do the writers need to make before the show ends for good. 1/10moreless
