Detective Inspector Henry Crabbe dreams of running his own restaurant, but his superiors are reluctant to allow him to retire. When he is shot on duty, he decides to leave and open his own restaurant – The Pie in the Sky – but the Assistant Chief Constable keeps calling him back to duty.
