Welcome to the Pingu guide at TV.com. A heartwarming hero from the coolest corner of the world! Pingu is a beloved claymation series of TV shorts about a Penguin called Pingu. Despite it being aimed to younger audiences, it is also a family show. About The Show Pingu is a young mischievous Penguin that lives in the South Pole with his Mom and Dad, his Sister, Pinga, his best friends Ping and Pingo (HIT entertainment dubbed Pingo "Punky"), Robby the Seal, and a cast of other colorful characters. The show doesn't use english words, but it's own creative language called "Penguiniese" (OR, "Pengish"). History The show originally began in Switzerland from the company Trickfilmstudio back in 1986. But over the years, it had spread to America and other countries of the world such as Japan where the show is famous amongst young teen girls (ages 13-17) and also in England where Pingu has become a household name. A few years ago, Hit Entertainment had bought the distribution rights to Pingu by releasing DVD's of the short cartoons. also, Hit had changed the music and some of the voices when they got the rights to the show so there were 2 versions, the original Tricksfilmstudio version, and the HIT entertainment version. The show had been doing extremely well that [url="www.hitentertainment.com"] had decided to make 52 all new shorts of Pingu in September of 2004 (Though, those episodes have yet to get in america as they only aired in the UK). But before that, They had released an all new DVD called "A Very Special Wedding" which included the introduction of Green Penguin's and was 20 minutes in length compared to a normal Pingu short of 3 to 5 minutes.moreless

I remember this show I watch this show when i was eight. Pingu, a heartwarming clay penguin. He lives at Antartica and also he lives in an igloo. He had 3 family members, mother, father and his baby sister. Anyways Pingu is actually a Swiss (Switzerland) show and its animation is stop-motion clay animation. I don't speak swiss. But still a great show. it also patented by the British. I recommended you should watch this show well too bad it ended miserably. Well that's all I got.

Do you all agree? yes or no
    if you say yes ehhh....

Pingu is about a little penguin and his big adventures, either playing with his little sister, Pinga, or playing with seal friend, Robbie or just hanging out in the Artic. Pingu is a 5 minute tv series that airs before another tv show starts. Pingu is famous all through the world because he doesn't talk. He speaks through a penguin language called 'Penguinease' by some people. That's how this show leaves his mark and why a lot of people know about it. This show used to be a series in the Swiss and was famous all through Europe and North America, Hit Entertainement, an American company, bought it and made it there own. Pingu has two DVD's out now.moreless

This show is terrific! I've loved Pingu the cuddly little penguin and his friends since I was 2. It was the first thing I ever laughed at when I was little, if I hadn't watched Pingu, I wouldn't know humor!

And I don't care how much the show changes, I love this series!

    Pingu Forever!! :D

Most people would think a show that is all claymation, and it's about pinguins that doesn't say any thing and only says gobberish and " meep meep " would absolutely and definately qualify as a show for babies. especially if it is like 5 minutes long. i don't really think it's for babies because tv shows have different styles, like the fairly oddparents is 2-D, the adventures of jimmy neutron boy genius is 3-D and pingu would be classified as claymation! so every show has their own qualities. it's probably hard to understand what the animals are saying, but i wouldn't think it is for babies. just for little kids. there, i think i made my point clear! don't abuse a show like pingumoreless
