Weirdness in the Land of Hats continues for Pinky and an amnesic Brain. They eventually get lucky, as real memories, a little truth about the Schmerskhvn and escape await. The ultimate mastermind, however, is still a mystery. The only one Brain suspects is Snowball, but he has problems of his own. The true mastermind has imprisoned the troublesome hamster in an asylum and security is pretty tight.       • The scene where Pinky and the Brain meet with Snowball in the mental institution is an homage to the famous scene in the film The Silence Of The Lambs, in which FBI agent Clarise asks Hannibal Lector for assistance with a case. Brain later being tied in a straight jacket and wearing a muzzle is a nod to another scene from the movie.

      • Star Trek Upon discovering that the Top Hat is a computer, Brain defeats it by asking it an unanswerable question. This alludes to the classic Star Trek episode "Wolf in the Fold," in which Spock defeats an evil-possessed computer by commanding it to calculate pi to its last digit (an impossible task, as pi in an infinite decimal.
