The Brain: Pinky, what were you doing up there? Pinky: I was having a devil of a time cleaning the chimney. The Brain: We don't have a chimney. Pinky: Well, there you are then. The Brain: No, Pinky, there *you* are. I am absolutely nowhere near that vicinity.
Brain: This scientific equipment will be invaluable for my plan to take over the world. It's big things that strike fear in to the hearts of humans, like that ridiculous legend of Gollyzilla, mythical folly that directionless humans hang on. I will alter this equipment and enlarge myself to become a 400 foot tall mouse who'll save the world from Gollyzilla.
Brain: Apparently, your IQ didn't grow along with your shoe size.
Raymond Burr: Yes, I see.
Brain: Are you pondering what I'm pondering? Pinky: I think so, Brain, but I don't think Kay Ballard's in the union.
This cartoon was first aired as part of episode 3 which featured the cartoons "Tokyo Grows", "That Smarts", "Brainstem". The gag credit for that episode was: Palinoia - compulsive repetition of an act until perfect.
Animation by Wang Film Productions.
The scientists words not matching their mouth movements is a pardory of the poor English dubbing of the old Japanese monster movies, particularly the Godzilla series.
"Gollyzilla" is an allusion to the infamous king of monsters, "Godzilla".
The man who repeatedly appears and says "Yes, I see" represents actor Raymond Burr. In the Americanized version of the 1956 Japanese movie "Godzilla, King of the Monsters", Raymond Burr was added to many scenes, and his most common line was "Yes, I see."
