  • Ten years in the making, the film makers toured the globe with a roster of songs and filmed street musicians performing the pieces. It was then edited to produce a lovely tribute to peace and a unique musical experience.

After hearing this mentioned on NPR, I caught it on PBS. I was surprisingly stunned with how beautiful this turned out. I had no idea of what or how they were going to do this. The talent of the musicians out there, spanning the globe, and the editing, as the filmakers brought together and blended each segment, was flawless. It is truly a unique concept and an uplifting experience. Music truly blurs the edges of politics here and allows human connections without borders or drawn lines. No matter what genre is of interest to you, this is more than worth a peek. And I would dare you to keep your toes and fingers from tapping out the rythyms.
